So many people have this idea that God is too busy to be bothered by your little petty problems. God’s word makes it clear that he is a Heavenly Dad who loves you so much that your picture is on his refrigerator

Many people have created a sin point system that evaluates what mistakes are worse than others. God has another thought. “Do not judge or you too will be judged.”

Our lives are filled with people who love us and believe in us and have brought the best out in us, but do we tell them about the impact they’ve made or are we saving that information to give at their eulogy?

There are people around us every day that do great things and deserve our encouragement, even at jury duty!

We tend to think that the people God loves the most are the straight laced, type A, rule followers.  The very first chapter written in the bible reveals God’s creative nature.  If you have a view of God as a rule enforcing disciplinarian, take a few minutes to view God’s creativity.

If you and I were to write our story it would be as boring as possible.  God writes difficulty and pain and trials into our story so that we can become the fullest version of ourselves.

God doesn’t just ask us to rest he models it for us.  He knows that we cannot live into he fullest version of ourselves if we are working to the point of exhaustion.

Every year Time magazine reveals their person of the year and every year there are people who disagree.  However, if you had to decide what person has had the greatest impact on the world of all time there is no debate.

We have many hopes and dreams but our ultimate hope is not that we get rich, live a healthy life, or travel around the globe. Our ultimate hope is that we have a God who loves us so much that he has reserved a place in heaven for us.

What is it about us that wants to take this life giving relationship with the living God and turn it into a religious to do list?

There are times when I do my best to do what Jesus would do in a situation and there are other times when I can be selfish and self centered.  Let me introduce you to a God that loves you during both moments.
